Perhaps the biggest challenge is when you are asked to do a couple of rooms not the whole house. The drawing room and bedroom in this beautiful house in Chelsea were filled with left-overs from previous properties. The drawing room had to encompass music practice, family TV dates and an adult inner sanctum. The bedroom ‘adult escape’. The interior result ‘a homage to original architecture’ edgy but not too NOW.
A very much un-loved mews house in Belgravia is undergoing a lot of exterior and interior therapy. This year long project has only just begun – but in order for the owners – who live overseas to envisage the detail, finish and design we have audaciously conceived an exacting design brief meticulously visualised before an excavator went on site. The interior will be timelessly cool – sleek hidden Italian kitchen, white oiled weathered oak floors, tortoiseshell infused mother of pearl mosaics, state of the art technology all detailed with a precision that would defy the most vociferous critic.
